How to choose a Branding provider

What do I actually receive at the end?
A logo file is not a brand. A usable handover is editable source files, a defined colour and type system with exact values, logo variants for different contexts, and written guidelines a different supplier can follow without calling the original designer. Ask to see a real guidelines document they produced. If none exists, you are buying artwork rather than a brand system.
How many concept rounds are included?
Get the number and the cost of going beyond it before you start, because this is the most common source of friction in branding work. Two to three rounds is typical. Also ask what a round means to them: some show three directions per round, others show one. Those are very different amounts of work for the same word.
Is trademark screening included?
Usually not, and assuming it is can be expensive. Ask explicitly whether the agency checks the proposed name and mark against the UAE trademark register and existing regional businesses, or whether that is your responsibility. Discovering a conflict after launch means redoing signage, packaging, the website and every profile you have created.
How do I tell a process from a house style?
Look through their portfolio for whether the work all looks the same. Consistent quality with visible variety means they respond to each brief. Neither is automatically wrong, but you should know which one you are hiring.
